I want to share with you why cold-pitching is the missing piece in your business growth strategy. Maybe you have heard about it or, worse, maybe you have felt the “ick” of reading a cold-pitch that landed in your email. I have been there! However, when done correctly it can help you make connections and land high-ticket clients.

What is Cold-Pitching?
Cold-pitching is a strategic plan to craft a message that gets you new clients, leads, sales, speaking events…the options are endless. Personally, I prefer to do this via email, but social media platforms are options if you can’t find a contact email.
Let me be clear, cold-pitching is not just throwing a bunch of emails at TONS of different people and crossing your fingers. In order for cold-pitching to work, it needs to be a calculated and researched approach.
The Problem with Traditional Outreach
Traditional outreach methods, like sending generic emails, relying on social media posts, or cold calling, often fall short of delivering the results you’re hoping for. Here’s why:
- Lack of Personalization: Many traditional outreach methods rely on the “one-size-fits-all” system, and that is just not the case. People can quickly pick up on the message that they are just another name or number on the list! This approach not only feels impersonal but often comes across as spammy, leaving potential connections unengaged.
- High Competition: The people you are wanting to impress or collab with are more than likely getting TONS of opportunities every day. You have to do something that stands out from the crowd. Traditional methods often get lost in the noise because they don’t connect on a personal level.
- No Clear Value Proposition: Traditional outreach often focuses too much on selling or promoting rather than building a relationship.

Have you noticed the theme here? The businesses of today tend to be relationship-focused. People want to feel seen, heard, and understood.
If your current outreach feels like it’s hitting a wall, it’s not because you’re not trying hard enough—it’s because you’re trying the wrong approach.
Cold-Pitching as a Solution
Imagine a strategy that cuts through the noise and speaks directly to the person on the other side—a strategy that feels more like a conversation than a sales pitch. It’s about crafting messages that resonate, connect, and convert.
Some of the highlights of cold-pitching:
- Personalized Outreach That Stands Out
- Building Genuine Connections
- Directly Address Pain Points
- Efficient and Targeted
Cold-pitching is more than a marketing strategy—it’s a tool for creating lasting connections and real opportunities.
