I remember a time where I would slide into bed at night, tired but wide awake, feeling trapped, unsatisfied, guilty, wondering if I was a good mom and that I just didn't have enough time in the day. ⁣

I would cry in the shower or in my car because I didn't want my husband or kids to see me break. I knew there had to be more to life than this. I often wondered where did that woman go that knew what she wanted and went and got it? Where was the woman that oozed confidence in her walk, talk, words, and smile? I would catch glimpses of that woman in the mirror while brushing my teeth, somewhere behind the mom-bun, milk-stained stretched-out t-shirt, and 3-day old yoga pants. I would feel her nudging at me to let her out, as I stared out the window while driving to run the millionth errand of the week. ⁣

Since I started this online biz a few years ago, I have learned a few things about time management. Today, I want to share with you my TOP two time management tips. ⁣
⁣
⁣⁣1. Make TIME. Don't find TIME. ⁣Want some hard truth? You are a business owner. There is no way that it can succeed if it is at the bottom of your priority list. Don't get me wrong. I am not saying that you should put it before your kids or spouse. However, you are going to have to make sacrifices, especially when you are first starting. Make the time. Make sacrifices. ⁣
⁣
⁣⁣2. Don't overdo it. Multi-tasking isn't always a good thing. ⁣If you continue to do multiple things with only 50% heart, you will spread yourself too thin, and your reputation and quality of work will suffer. So pick one thing and give it your all, then mark it off your list and keep going. ⁣⁣⁣

Want some tips on how to land your clients and stand out from other proposals? ⁣⁣⁣

1. Follow the instructions of the job description. I know this sounds simple, but the mistake of doing exactly the opposite of what they ask happens all the time. I see it in so many groups that I am in. If they say "no DMs" don't send them a DM. Hint. Hint. They aren't going to want to hire someone that can't follow simple directions. ⁣⁣⁣

2. Send a personalized proposal. For example, spend a little bit of time researching the person, company, blog, site, etc... This will show them you care.⁣⁣⁣
