I received so many responses that I have decided to make this a series for the month of December instead of just a single post. Thanks so much for all the input, everyone!! So here is Grown-Up Christmas List Part 1.
"Do you remember me
I sat upon your knee
I wrote to you with childhood fantasies
Well I'm all grown up now
And still need help somehow
I'm not a child but my heart still can dream So here's my lifelong wish
My grown-up Christmas list
Not for myself but for a world in need
No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end, no
This is my grown-up Christmas list As children, we believe
The grandest sight to see
Was something lovely wrapped beneath the tree
But Heaven only knows
That packages and bows
Can never heal a heart ached human soul"
-My Grown Up Christmas List, Kelly Clarkson

My, how our perspectives shift from childhood to adulthood! I heard this song on the radio yesterday morning and it got me to thinking, what would be on my grown-up Christmas list?
- 24 hours with my lost loved ones.
- For my boys to remain happy and healthy.
- Sleep.
- For more gratitude in this world.
- Kindness.
- The cure for MS.
I thought it would be fun to open up this question to fellow bloggers, friends, and family. For my fellow bloggers, I included links to their blogs. Check them out! Here are some of their Christmas wishes.

Grown-Up Christmas List Part 1
“I would love to become my own boss and work from home! I also want to travel the world and explore.” – Forever the Wanderer
“All I want for Christmas is for all of my family to be happy… And maybe a bottle of prosecco, a bottle of Baileys, a tub of Heroes to myself. And if Santa’s feeling extra helpful, maybe somebody to come and take the Christmas tree down and squish it into the box since it’s a near-impossible task! Not sure if that’s too British… But for clarity champagne and boxes of chocolate to myself” –Rachel Downing
“I just want to make memories with my family and friends. Bake cookies, go to a good Broadway show. It is not about money or gifts it is about memories.” –Rachelle Lewis
“To be able to hug the organ donor who saved my life and thank him for allowing me to live again” –Past the Point of No Return

“Having our family together, it has to last us most of a year, but listening to their banter, laughing, watching the small ones and newly engaged, friends your grandkids bring! Oh, I could go on and on! Just having our loved ones at our home one more time is a great Christmas gift!” -Bobbie (Granny)
“A weekend away with friends. Various cosmetic surgery gift cards.” -Jessica
“I would like to get all my houses remodeled and fixed up for free and sell one for a huge prophet!” –Wittes World

“My first of many Disney Christmases! It would be a Christmas Miracle to have someone buy our current house, as-is and at market value. Then we can move to Florida, before year-end, as we had planned. I was born in Sarasota, and it has been my dream to return to live in Florida. We supposed to move this autumn, but it is taking longer than anticipated to ready the house. So I’m stuck in the Ohio yuck.” –Sunkissed Memories

“If there was anything in the world I could have for Christmas, it would be a country home. A beautiful country home with more than enough bedrooms and a bathroom for everyone. It would have a wood stove and a nice huge wood table for all of us to sit at for meals. It would be situated on 1000 acres of prime country and hunting land and would have an abundance of trees, some for firewood, on the property with a water source. Let’s face it folks; if you want big things to happen in your life, you must learn to dream big. For a realistic Christmas Present, I would like a Cast Iron Dutch Oven, to cook stews, chili and other meals over the campfire.” –Abundant Blogger
